Ogden Kendo Club
The Ogden Kendo Club was formed in 1991 by David Diguangco and moved to WSU in 1992. We meet once a week in Ogden Utah at the Weber State University Campus which lies in the foothills of Mount Ogden. Many of us travel from as far north as Logan and south from Salt Lake City; some occasionally make the trek from Provo. We have an open door policy and beginners are VERY welcome. We start off the day with stretches, opening reigi, then move into iaido. After iaido we work on bokken kata or kendo waza. Finally, we finish the day with kendo keiko and closing reigi. On special days we practice tameshigiri (test cutting), soh-jutsu (spear), or tai-yoho (unarmed).
